I’ve written a book, but it’s a mess. It has more deleted chapters than actual chapters. And I’ve had periods of months where I tried to ignore that I wanted to write because it’s just so damn hard to sit down and do it.
But lately I’ve been doing an hour a night, and something’s happened. If I think about writing as not a big deal and there’s no point agonising over whether I’m any good or not, but something that I just do anyway, then it’s easier.
Let’s see how long my new mindset can last.I’ll let you know. It might just work.
